Mike Jackson
What do you do?
I am currently training for a BSc in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management and therefore my role is along these lines, being involved in all financial aspects of the projects I am responsible for. In addition to the financial side of managing the projects I also project manage my own sites being responsible for procurement of materials and labour, site meetings, client liaison etc.
Interests/hobbies?
Unfortunately as a result of the demands of my studying I do not have the amount of free time I would like however when ever the opportunity arises I love nothing more than fell walking in the lakes this really takes me away from everything and helps put things into perspective. However as a stress release on a day-2-day basis cooking is my escape, this is something I have enjoyed for many years and helps me relax after a long day. I also have a young family and spending time with my family is so important to me, as I do not want to look back and feel that I have missed out on my son growing up.
Best thing about working for Ace?
The variety of my day-2-day activities, the exposure it gives me within the industry whilst I am still training and my relationship with my colleagues.
